While Modi revealed an Australian player had gifted him a winners' medal, Vaughan noticed a runners-up medal lying alongside it. Notably, Modi did not reveal the names of either the Indian or Australian player.

Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said he discussed inclusion of traditional Indian sports with the Commonwealth Sport delegation for the 2030 edition. "We spoke of these sports during the meeting. Yogasana, Mallakhamb, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi were discussed...We are...hopeful [to] see some of them...when we host the Games,” he said.
